Most editing jobs can be efficiently completed without the exchange of a single sheet of paper.
Common word processing programs, such as MS Word, contain a mark-up tool that tracks changes to the document and allows the document owner to accept or reject each change. Typically, Ali-Ink returns two copies of the material by email, one showing all changes and including comments, and one "clean" copy with all of the edits incorporated. Authors can then decide which document they prefer to work in to make the final version.
For newsletters or materials containing many graphics, applications like Adobe Acrobat allow editors to make soft-copy mark-ups.
For sensitive materials, such as business financial reports, encryption can be used to ensure the secure transmission of your document by email. Just ask Ali how to set this up - it's free.
If for any reason your materials must be edited on paper, Ali-Ink is more than happy to oblige. Every editor enjoys making a flourish with real, honest-to-goodness *ink* now and then. In fact, Ink is our middle name.
Please note: Ali-Ink does not offer typing or data re-entry services. If you opt for a paper mark-up, you will need to find someone to produce your final copy.
